The Framework Knitters Museum is a unique site that exists to educate and inspire people using the history and heritage of framework knitting and to preserve the craft itself for future generations to enjoy.
We're firmly rooted in our local community and we are dedicated to providing a range of benefits to different social groups.
With support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, we are currently undertaking the first phase of an expansion and redevelopment programme. This will improve the museum site as you know it today; display space will increase, access will be improved and we'll be able to offer new facilities and services including a larger cafe area and an improved retail offer.
