Stanford Sustainable Investment Group (SSIG) is Stanford's premier climate, business, and innovation community and the nation's first student-run investment advisory for sustainability investors.
Every year, we select and train a small group of students to partner with Silicon Valley's preeminent venture capital firms to work on meaningful questions at the forefront of climate technology, venture innovation, and sustainable finance. Analysts gain unparalleled exposure to the future of climate innovation by working hand-in-hand with the industry's brightest minds and develop valuable industry connections that they will be able to leverage for the rest of their lives. Past partners include Lowercarbon Capital, The Westly Group, Elemental Impact, Climactic, Reaction, Galway Sustainable Capital, Carbon Removal Partners, New Leaf Climate, Etho Capital, and more.
SSIG aims to engage students in hands-on investment, business, entrepreneurship, and pre-professional opportunities that revolve around leveraging market and capital solutions for environmental good. Our students represent some of the brightest sustainability talent at Stanford and go on to work for the most reputable institutions in the world, including The D. E. Shaw Group, BlackRock, Barclays, Bain & Company, Apple, and The White House, among others.
