UCLA KASA Community Agreement
Dear UCLA KASA member,

Thank you for deciding to become a part of the Korean American Student Association! As members of KASA, we pride ourselves on creating a nurturing, inclusive environment for our members to form lasting bonds.

The KASA Community Agreement serves to help us identify concrete ways to maintain our community culture. All members, both returning and new, are required to read through this form, and those who do not sign this agreement risk the loss of KASA membership status.

Membership Requirements
• All new members must be undergraduate students enrolled at UCLA
• All members must fill out a membership form and sign this Community Agreement to become an official member of KASA
• All members must have paid for their membership (through Venmo, or in-person)
General Expectations
We expect every member of our large and diverse organization to make a commitment to fostering a safe and warm community for all of us to be part of. Be compassionate, empathetic, and kind when interacting with fellow members of KASA. Respect others’ opinions when taking the time to engage with our community. These elements are extremely important in upholding our values of integrity, respectfulness, and understanding.

The next page lists our membership rules and guidelines, both online and in-person. Through these community guidelines, we aim to make sure that all agreements are specific and clear, and hope to be able to better serve our members by intervening in unwelcome behaviors and violations early and often.
