Alcatraz Cruises workers are fighting to join the Inlandboatmen's Union for fair workplace conditions and respect. Tartine Bakery workers are still fighting for their first contract with ILWU Local 6 after 2 years of union-busting from their employer.
We will be holding two actions to support these workers, and we need your support!
On Sunday, August 28 at 12pm, Alcatraz Cruises workers will be holding a rally to celebrate the formation of their new union! This rally will take place outside of Pier 33 in SF - we need everyone there to show the Bay Area stands with the workers!
On Sunday, September 4 from 10am-12pm, we are asking the community to come support Tartine workers as they negotiate for a first contract!
Their employer has offered them a 5 year contract with no guaranteed raises.
We need the community to come out and show that we support a good contract for Tartine workers. Come out, buy Tartine products, support the workers!
