HUNTER SOCCER CLUB COVID RELEASE
Dear Parents and Players,
As we are coming out of the pandemic, Hunter Soccer Club wants to make sure that all of our players, participants and coaches are safe and well.
The State of Pennsylvania has just now allowed for participation in practice and we anticipate that games will be permitted starting this fall.
Please understand that we are duty bound to protect all of our children and as such, we must follow the guidelines of the Pennsylvania Youth Safety Act as well as all federal and state guidelines for the pandemic. Accordingly, you must be aware of the following:
You must sign on behalf of your player a release statement protecting Hunter Soccer Club and the leagues we play in as well as our coaches and administrators to participate fully in practice and games.
In addition, you must be aware of some of the requirements that we are now facing. For example:
• Masks must be worn by all adults (parents and coaches) at all practices and games at all times;
• While parents certainly can watch or view the practices and, we are expecting and it is required for those parents who are not coaches to keep a distance from the field. Also parents are expected to keep a safe distance from other families and never enter the field of play;
• There will be no touching – no fist bumping, no elbows, no hugs, no handshakes. All of that is a thing of the past;
• There will be no body contact between any adults and any children except your own;
• Bring your own water bottles. Nothing will be shared;
• If the ball goes out of bounds, no adult should throw that ball back in and no hands should be used whatsoever;
• Only coaches should touch the flags, cones, and any equipment used during games and practices;
• All coaches must sign the release statement as well for their own protection and the protection of the club;
• Parents, Coaches, and Players shall be required to read and follow the rest of the rules outlined in the Hunter Return to Play plan

I, the undersigned parent or guardian of the Hunter player, a minor, hereby agrees that on behalf of our player and I/we as parents will abide by the rules of the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association, the Pennsylvania Rules of the Youth Safety Act, the Pennsylvania Rules with regard to the pandemic and keeping safe as well as the federal rules and the CDC. We recognize the possibility of physical injury associated with soccer and the possibility of injury from the pandemic and in consideration for accepting our child/player for this soccer program and activities, we hereby release, discharge and fully indemnify Hunter Soccer Club, its affiliated organizations and sponsors and Hunter Soccer Club’s coaches and administrators, officers and board members including the owners of the fields and facilities utilized for our programs against any and all claims, by or on behalf of the player or his family as a result of the player’s participation in the programs and/or being transported to or from the same, which transportation I hereby authorize.
