Digital Collections in Kenya
Africa is bringing African information to stand alone computers, local networks, mobile devices and the global web. The African Digital Library Support Network (formerly Southern African Greenstone Support Network) is a community of practitioners, managers, small businesses and strategic thinkers (with a mail list of over 300 participants +8 National Support centers so far) that plan, implement and sustain the necessary digitisation and IT. As ADLSN we envisage a community of "local experts" in Africa and Kenya in particular, who will be able to support implementation and management of Digital Libraries, Automation & FOSS Tools for Libraries.
