On Saturday, March 3, 2018, REACH will be presenting their third annual STEAM Expo to the Suffern Central School District and community. This even will provide an opportunity for educators, grant recipients, students, community members and corporate sponsors to collaborate and showcase how they are engaging in STEAM. All 2017-2018 REACH grant recipients will be expected to present their projects at the REACH STEAM Expo this March. Displays may include student demonstrations, photographs, posters, models, or any other creative means to represent their innovative classroom initiatives.
In addition to the funds set aside by the REACH Foundation for classroom grants, this year we will be partnering for the first time with the district's Retired Teachers Association. An additional $1,000.00 has been provided by the Retired Teachers Association and will be available via this partnership earmarked for grants. All submissions will be considered eligible for these funds.
APPLICATION PROCESS Applications must be submitted on or before Friday, November 3,2017.

Please include all shipping costs and any other additional costs that might be associated with your project in your requested funding amount.
Once a grant has been approved, the amount approved is final and any changes in cost due to shipping or otherwise will not be covered by the REACH Foundation.
Grant recipients are responsible for ordering all supplies. If necessary, REACH can provide its not-for-profit tax id number and/or certificate.
REACH can either be invoiced or reimburse the grant recipient if the vendor needs payment up front.
The REACH Grant Committee will review all applications, make a recommendation for funding to the REACH Foundation Board of Directors, and meet with Suffern Central School District administration before making final monetary decisions. Grant applications in the amount of $1,000.00 or less will be given priority. All applicants will be notified of the results within six weeks of the deadline for submission. Grants are scheduled to be awarded at the Board of Education's December 5,2017 meeting. Should date need to be changed all award winners will be notified of the change. Follow-up progress reports are due from grant recipients within 30 days of the project completion date. Grant monies must be used within 18 months from the date they are awarded or the monies will revert back to the REACH Foundation.
