Speak Your Truth - Student Open Mic Night
Call for student artists, writers, musicians, poets, performers and satirists to join the Speak Your Truth student open mic night on Saturday, September 29, 5:30-7:30 PM. Open to high school students and college freshman local to the Stamford area with preference given to Stamford residents. Students selected on a first-come first-serve basis. No application fee.

Purpose of the event is to give a creative platform for students to express their political and social views in a supportive, artistic setting. Performances are to be 2-5 minutes and centered on an issue of choice by the performer. Suggested topics can range from gun violence, feminism, racial inequality, immigration, education, mental health, activism, etc.
