Suspended Operations- Power Outage Survey
The Clark College WPEA Leadership team would like to know your experience during the recent suspended operations that was initiated by a power outage on Monday, October 21. Please answer questions applicable to you. After responses have been collected, we will share the common themes back out to members. Our intention is to advocate for changes and improvements to current policies, processes, and procedures regarding suspended operations, identified by classified staff members. Information on suspended operations in the Higher Education WPEA contract can be found in Article 17. This is an anonymous survey. Was the communication sent by the college regarding suspended operations during and after the event helpful? If not, what would helpful communication from the college look like in regards to suspended operations?

Were you required to work during suspended operations? If yes, what about your role required you to work and were you given sufficient information?
Did your supervisor communicate with you regarding expectations before, during, and/or after suspended operations? i.e. did you work when you did not have to, were you expected to work and not notified, do you know your departments suspended operations plan, etc.
How quickly did your supervisor and/or department leadership notify staff on whether or not they were required to work during suspended operations?
If you are a supervisor, do you feel you had sufficient information and/or training to prepare you on what to do for you and your employees?
