Please answer the following questions about your article.
The following are requirements to be considered for publication on Take This' website. Please be sure to carefully check that your article submission aligns with the questions below. If you select "other" as your option, you must write a response - if not, your article will not be considered until you fully answer all questions contained in the survey.
My article is an original, mental health-related article written specifically for Take This. *
It is either educational or informational in tone. *
It is written for a lay audience and uses technical jargon only when necessary. *
It does not endorse or promote anything. (This includes, but is not limited to, promoting any one type of treatment, group, organization, individual, or product - nor does it guarantee results with any advice given) *
The person who wrote this article is a mental health professional with experience in this topic - or is someone who has personally experienced the topic that is being discussed in the article. *
It is grounded in evidence-based concepts and ideas. *
It is written for non-gamers and gamers alike (though a smattering of gamer or geeky references is encouraged). *
If a person who does not play the game or content I reference reads my article, they will understand enough of the referenced game or content to get my point/purpose. *
It is hopeful, uplifting, and inclusive in tone. *
It is between 500-1000 words in length. *
It contains a brief bio on the writer(s). (2-3 sentences is usually sufficient) *
It contains a bibliography for any references used. *
All content based on references either contains hyperlinks or is contextualized by the surrounding writing (such as, "Doctor B stated in his training on..." or has a method of bibliographical referencing) *
