After you complete and submit this form, you will receive a completed copy of the permit back to the email that you entered. Simply retain a copy of this form that is easily accessible if requested. This may be in either printed or electronic form.

You will still need to call 517-647-4111 prior to burning to be sure burning is being allowed that day. Burning bans may be temporarily in effect due to weather conditions.

You will no longer need to leave any information when calling 517-647-4111.

A permit may only be requested by and issued to the owner and/or resident of the property. Proof of ownership or residency may be required upon request. A separate permit is required for each burn location.

When you submit the application, you will immediately receive a copy of the completed form by email. This form has been approved and no further contact with the department is needed, except to ensure burning is permitted by calling 517-647-4111 prior to burning. If you do not receive an email within a few minutes, please check your spam filter.
