The NDSL/MGL League Academy offers a unique opportunity for young players to hone their skills, learn from top-notch coaches, and represent our league at the highest levels. To ensure a fair and transparent selection process, we have established some guidelines and procedures:
Player Nomination Guidelines:
1. Each club is invited to nominate a maximum of 5 outfield players and 1 goalkeeper from their teams playing in the Premier Division, Sunday A, and Saturday A leagues.
2. Exceptions to the above limit must be approved by the football committee.
3. Coaches or managers currently coaching an age group in our league cannot manage or coach an Academy team at the same age group to avoid conflicts of interest.
4. Clubs must officially notify the NDSL/MGL League Academy Managers/Coaches via email of any players invited for trials or joining the Academy. This notification process ensures proper procedures are followed and maintains transparency between clubs and the Academy.
5. Academy Managers/Coaches are strictly prohibited from encouraging player movement between clubs. Any violation of this rule will result in immediate removal.
Training Days will be Mondays and Wednesdays at Oscar Traynor Centre which is very central to the NDSL/MGL clubs.
We will be proceeding with trials for U14s (2010), followed by U13s(2011) and then U12s(2012) in both boys and girls. The next set of trials will be as follows
- U13s Premier & Sat/Sun A Division Players: Wednesday, 11th October, 6.00pm-7.15pm
- U13s Girls A Division, Wednesday,
Wednesday, 11th October, 6.00pm-7.15pm
Appropriate footwear, shinguards and attire as required, as well as water.
