CCSA Conference Meet Ups 2025: Call For Proposal

The California Charter Schools Association is launching Meet Ups for our 2025 annual conference!

Purpose: Meet Ups are guided networking spaces that give attendees the chance to connect around similar passions or interests relevant to education. Attendees meet like-minded people, seek out inspiration, and find collaboration opportunities across a range of topics. Events may be structured as facilitated networking, guided discussions, group activities, and more.

Logistics: Meet Up sessions are 30 minutes each.

Directions: To host a Meet Up, please complete the form below. By submitting this proposal, you are agreeing to plan and host an engaging and structured networking event for CCSA Conference attendees.

What Might This Look Like?: Meet Up hosts are expected to develop a thoughtful agenda with relevant materials and a clear approach to facilitation (host led or group led). Please see examples below:

Meet Up Title
(75 character limit, or about 8 words)
Please double-check spelling as what you provide will be used in the online program search, event app, and printed program. Note: Sessions with precise, creative and catchy titles have the highest attendance. Long titles do not reflect well in web listings. See examples above.

No Sales Pitch Policy
CCSA defines a “sales pitch” as a presentation made based exclusively on a product, person, or experience that needs to be purchased. Therefore, we expect that vendors, consultants, and other partners present skills and knowledge that attendees can use without purchasing your help or resources. The goal of every Meet Up should be to foster connections among attendees. No Meet Up host shall use their position to promote themselves, a product, or their affiliation with an organization. All Meet Ups will reflect appropriate professional and ethical behavior.

Breakout Session vs Meet Up
The goal of every Meet Up should be to foster connections among attendees. Whereas the goal of every breakout session should be of educational nature only—that CCSA Conference attendees learn something they can use in their day-to-day work from your presentation. The intention for Meet Ups is not to provide a sit down presentation for attendees and instead to facilitate engaging conversations among attendees.
