Our community is having a very important conversation on the proposal to create a 70-acre entertainment district in Potomac Yard anchored by a new Capitals'/Wizards' arena and headquarters for Monumental Sports & Entertainment.

While not all details are public or known, there is certainly a lot to consider when it comes to a project of this size, scale and magnitude. Please take a few minutes to share your thoughts with me about the new proposed arena project and other opportunities/challenges facing Alexandria.

Increased crime

Lack of transparency

Tax 'giveaways' to billionaires

Increasing housing costs making Alexandria less affordable

Flooding risk

Increased noise

Stealing the teams from DC/hurting our DC neighbors
