NOAA’s Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) protects the places you love by providing continuity of critical, global observations of Earth’s atmosphere, oceans, and land that are used for forecasting severe weather like hurricanes, tornadoes, and blizzards days in advance. JPSS imagery is also used for monitoring environmental hazards such as droughts, forest fires, poor air quality, and harmful coastal waters. Follow the challenge and the JPSS-2 launch with the hashtag #JPSS2.
