Emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) are transforming nearly every aspect of our lives. Ensure your students are prepared for this future by working with Code.org to bring Computer Science (CS) and AI to every school in your district. Receive high quality, cost-free resources & support by taking just two steps:
Step 1: Enroll in the free Code.org District Program
Enroll to receive high quality, open source K-12 computer science curriculum and support such as professional learning, implementation guidance, and access to local & national communities of practice.
Districts will be recognized nationally for their commitment to CS and have regular opportunities to learn and share best practices with peers.
After enrolling, get your schools started through our:
Note: This commitment does not limit a district or school from adopting curricula outside Code.org. Costs associated with training will be negotiated between the district & our Regional Partner. Code.org offers scholarships to help high-need schools, and other grant funding may be available.
Step 2: Lead a Districtwide Computer Science Implementation Plan
Develop & execute a districtwide Computer Science Implementation Plan with support from Code.org and our local Regional Partner. This includes building a core team of at least one senior district leader, one implementation specialist, and school-based champions to ensure your plan is set up for success.
Creating and integrating a Computer Science Implementation Plan into district priorities (such as portrait of a graduate) helps drive to improved student outcomes.
Female, Black, Latino, and Native/Indigenous students are most likely to be left out of computer science education and career pathways. Through this work you will learn practical ways to close access and participation equity gaps across your district.
Participating districts will receive toolkits and consultation to help every district school provide computer science learning opportunities for students.
