The union bargaining team and Meriter management have been in bargaining since February. During our last bargaining session, management refused to move even one penny from their unacceptably low wage proposal. The parties then met with a mediator on April 16 to see if we could make any additional progress.
Management refused to move from their wage proposal AGAIN at that meeting.
UnityPoint wants us to accept less than we got in our last contract, less than the RNs won, and all while giving bonuses to nonunion workers and big raises to UnityPoint executives.
Now, it’s up to us to win the wages and fair contract we deserve.
Complete the form to commit to Join Your Coworkers Outside Meriter on May 14 from 3-6 p.m. to demand a fair contract.
