Thank you for your interest in our community service project!
Our team of six college students, affiliated with Mercy Works at the Vision Center in downtown Syracuse, are part of the Synergy summer internship. We are coordinating a community service project for Friday, July 21, 2023 where we will be teaching middle school and high school students about the importance of higher education, mental health, and how gardening as an activity can improve youth mental health! We will also be inviting a mental health specialist to come to talk to the attendees about local resources.
Attendees will leave the event with their own planting kit, pamphlets about local resources relating to education and health, and snacks!
