We are a service department operating statewide AmeriCorps programs through Northern Arizona University. Our Arizona Ready for College and Career (ARCC) AmeriCorps project focuses on assisting high school aged youth with college and career readiness. ARCC AmeriCorps members are placed at local schools, universities and colleges, non-profits, and government agencies and serve to serve students and families.
Our Alternative to Managing Pain (AMP) program provides in-home care to homebound clients (age 50+) experiencing pain. Members provide transportation services to in-home clients for pain management alternatives. They will assist community agencies in educating clients on non-medical alternatives to managing pain.
NAU AmeriCorps members serve for a year or less and receive: a bi-weekly living stipend, an educational award (similar to a scholarship) upon successful completion of the term and professional development. Members serving in Full-Time positions are also eligible for health insurance and childcare assistance if desired.
