Each year, Leadership Iowa selects six Iowa communities to host monthly two-day sessions, in addition to the recurring Des Moines session and the ABI Annual Conference. Communities must represent each region of the state and have strong community support in order to provide a great experience for Leadership Iowa participants.
Hosting a Leadership Iowa session is exciting and beneficial for the community host. It provides a unique opportunity for 40 leaders from across Iowa to visit a town in our state they may not have had the chance to explore otherwise. Sessions invite local leaders and subject-matter experts, highlight community programs and successes, and utilize local vendors and venues.
If you live in or know of a community that would make an excellent future Leadership Iowa session host, we want to hear from you! Even if a community has been visited in the past, we welcome those nominations to learn more about the latest in that area.
Please complete the information below to the best of your ability to nominate a host community for Leadership Iowa. Nominations are accepted at any time and will be re-considered each year. If you nominate a community and it is not selected for the next LI year, that still leaves the opportunity for it to be selected in the future.
