PCG Compute Caves
This project procedurally models and generates cave landscapes on the GPU.

In order to run it you must have DirectX11 or higher.

Some background before you start:
The following images show you the kind of features and geologic phenomena we are trying to simulate.

We ask you to keep a lookout for similarities to these patterns while you play our demo.

What this project is not:
For reasons of scope, and because unity Free, the terrain is:
-not destructible
-not optimized for generation speed
-not generated according to the direction you are walking in

It is a simple exploration "game". You will be able to preview the overall cave structure, and then generate the world and have 2 types of characters/playstiles to try.
TIME TO PLAY THE GAME:
Each time you run the demo (or you press "Next Style" in the options), you get a different cave.

Protip: if you're on a laptop, or have a 4k screen, and experience lag, make the browser window smaller.

Protip2: the game continues to generate caves even in the background (if you minimize it)

Any kind of game, any kind of characters. Even if it had destructible / minable terrain etc.
Did any of the environments / textures remind you of something (a game)?
Do you know of any games with similar (and perhaps procedurally generated) environments? If so, how does it compare? (e.g.: the antlion caves in Half Life 2)
