Thank you for your interest in Space Camp at the Charles and Kathryn Heide Observatory at Hawthorn Hollow Nature Sanctuary.
This 4-day STEM experience includes hands-on experiments, rocket launches, engineering challenges, and telescope observing as students explore astronomy, physics, and space exploration.
We are offering two unique camp experiences this summer:
🚀 Space Camp: Explorers (Ages 8–12)
📅 Tuesday–Friday, June (morning sessions)
⏰ 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM each day
🚀 Space Camp: Innovators (Ages 10–14)*
📅 July 14–17 (evening sessions)
⏰ 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM each night
*Space Camp: Innovators is designed for students who are ready for a more focused and mature learning environment, with increased independence and deeper STEM challenges. Â
Camp size is intentionally limited to 12 students per session to ensure a highly interactive experience with plenty of hands-on learning and individual participation.
After submitting this form, you will receive an email with additional details and registration information, including how to secure your camper’s spot.
