Please enter the information below to sign-up for OUPD's free R.A.D. training, which begins Sunday, October 28, 2018.
The Rape Aggression Defense System is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques.
The Ohio University Police Department offers the RAD class to all women of the Ohio University community. RAD is not a martial arts program. The RAD System is a comprehensive course for women that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction, and avoidance while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training.
All students in the course will be provided with a Participant Manual that covers information on the concepts and techniques within the program. Graduates will receive a lifetime return policy to any R.A.D. class nationwide.
R.A.D. balances the needs of women to acquire self-defense education in a relatively short period of time, with the lifelong commitment required for physical skill mastery by providing short term training opportunities in a progressive building block format. For more information check out

This is a 6-week training class that will meet once a week on Sunday for 2 hours. We will send you the location after we verify our total number of participants. All classes are 6pm-8pm. Consistent participation is key to a successful course.
