We would like to announce a late-breaking DAS RCN workshop on “Managing Distributed Acoustic Sensing Data” to be held at the Marriott Marquis on the Sunday prior to AGU, December 11, 12-5pm CT.
The goal of this half-day workshop is to discuss current practices, challenges and solutions for managing large DAS datasets. It is widely recognized that DAS datasets are some of the largest in geophysics, with more DAS data being collected every day. The workshop will provide a forum for DAS practitioners, data management facilities, and other interested parties to come together to explore ideas, strategies and approaches for managing these extremely large datasets. We encourage those who collect DAS datasets, those who archive and distribute these datasets, and those that use these datasets to share their experiences, requirements and solutions.
Please sign-up in advance and we will follow up to confirm your participation in this workshop.
With regards from the DAS RCN Co-PIs (Herb Wang, Scott Tyler, Bob Woodward, Kasey Aderhold)
