Uptown Garden Walk RSVP
Come out for a day of fun and enjoyment on September 8th, 2018, by exploring the diverse identity of Uptown through its local gardens!

We will enjoy two guided tours. Each tour will start at Clarendon Park Community Center, located at 4501 N. Clarendon Ave:

1:00PM – Trees of Uptown Tour: This tour will explore "common ground" specifically through trees, highlighting tree preservation, financial implications of trees, and resources community members can use in the future. The Trees of Uptown Tour will be led by Andrew Lueck of Planned Forest.

2:00PM – Garden Gathering: mingle, enjoy refreshments, experience mini-workshops, and meet garden representatives.

3:00PM – No Small Plans Tour: This tour will explore the paths and meadows of landscape architect Alfred Caldwell’s plan for Uptown’s new coast in the 1930s. The No Small Plans Tour will be led by Melanie Eckner of the Uptown Coastal Initiative and Susan Ask of animalia project..
