Write this week's Word Wall Words (brothers, gym, have, hurt, with)  two times each.   *
Choose four of these Word Wall Words and write a descriptive sentence for each. Use at least one proper noun (a name or place) in each sentence. *
Remember to begin proper nouns with a capital letter.
Working With Words: Write as many common nouns as you can think of that end in a  “y” (e.g. berry, fairy, ….). Beside each noun, write its plural (e.g. berries, fairies,…). *
The "plural" is the form of a noun that means "more than one". Common nouns are words that name people, places, or things. They are not the actual NAMES of people, places, or things. Example: the word “girl” is a common noun, but the word “Mary” is a proper noun.
Math:  Mrs. Montgomery had 67 Easter treats in her office. She gave 11 to Grade 2 students. How many Easter treats does she have left?  Explain your thinking. *
You might find it easier to explain your thinking on a scrap piece of paper to hand in to your teacher.
Write the title of at least one RAZ book you read at home this week. *
Remember that titles of books need a capital letter to begin each word.
