Voluntary Participation:

Your participation in the State Ride-Along Program is voluntary and at your own risk. You understand and accept that law enforcement activities can be inherently dangerous and unpredictable.

Release of Liability:

You release and discharge the law enforcement agency, its officers, agents, and employees from any liability, claims, or damages arising out of or in connection with your participation in the State Ride-Along Program, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or loss.

Assumption of Risk:

You acknowledge that participation in law enforcement activities involves certain risks, including but not limited to exposure to dangerous situations, injury, or loss. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with your participation in the State Ride-Along Program.

Compliance with Instructions:

You agree to comply with all instructions, directives, and procedures provided by Trooper(s) supervising the State Ride-Along Program. Failure to comply with instructions may result in termination of the State ride-along and may also constitute a violation of law.

Confidentiality:

You agree to maintain strict confidentiality regarding any information or discussions you witness or are privy to during the ride-along, including sensitive or classified information.

Non-Interference:

You agree not to interfere with the duties or responsibilities of law enforcement officers during the ride-along, including but not limited to handling evidence, making arrests, or engaging in enforcement activities, unless explicitly directed to do so by the supervising officer.

Professional Behavior:

You agree to conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times during the ride-along, refraining from engaging in any behavior that may reflect poorly on yourself or the law enforcement agency.

Termination of Participation:

The law enforcement agency reserves the right to terminate your participation in the State Ride-Along Program at any time, for any reason, at its sole discretion.

Legal Implications: You acknowledge that you may face charges under applicable criminal laws for any violations committed during the ride-along. At any point during the ride-along, participants may be subject to search and/or arrest if circumstances warrant such action.

By participating in the State Ride-Along Program, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions outlined in this disclaimer.
