EarthCube Test Governance Expression of Interest Form

Per the proposed Enterprise Governance Charter, EarthCube Governance will have two committees, and two teams, each with a responsibility for carrying out specific critical functions for EarthCube and EarthCube Governance. During the coming year, members of each group will be empowered to decide these groups carry out their functions, by defining decision-making processes and leadership roles. A common basic structure for each includes open-membership with leadership defined by each group's charter. Please use this form to indicate which group(s) you are interested in participating in. The following descriptions of the committees and teams is based on the EarthCube Enterprise Governance Charter v.1.1 (Revised on June 26, 2014, at the All Hands Meeting.)

Technology/ Architecture Standing Committee
Oversees the development of the architecture and technology that is part of EarthCube.

Science Standing Committee
Ensures user requirements are prioritized by maintaining the connection between NSF supported academic geoscience and technology in EarthCube.

Engagement Team
Supports proactive communication and engagement with end-users and other EarthCube stakeholders.

Liaison Team
Supports proactive partnerships with related efforts, both through formal relationships and informal engagements.

A webinar to discuss important details regarding expectations and next steps for these groups will be offered Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 12:00pm PDT.

You will receive more information on these webinars after submitting this form. For more information on EarthCube governance, please visit http://workspace.earthcube.org/test-governance/charter-review
