MEDLIFE Mobile Clinic Application 2019
Thank you for your interest in participating in a MEDLIFE Mobile Clinic trip! MEDLIFE is a non-profit organization working with students to help communities in developing countries achieve greater freedom from the constraints of poverty and empowering them to live healthier lives. Our long term goal is to make a sustainable impact in these communities.

This is an application for the March 2-10th trip to Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. This mobile clinic offers McGill students the opportunity to shadow medical professionals and learn about medical practice in East Africa. Students will operate in small communities with local medical professionals, to bring accessible medical care to rural communities. This location will allow students to experience medical practice in highly rural communities. For more information please check out the following link www.medlifemovement.org/kilimanjaro.html

The participation fee will be $990 USD, with a $25 USD deposit refundable up until 4 weeks before the trip. This fee covers accommodation, transportation in country, 5 days of meals, and the medicines our clinic will provide. Airfare is additional. Also there will be an additional visa fee for students, charged by the country of Tanzania. The cost of a visa is different for Americans and Canadians. For Americans it is $200, for Canadians it is $150. This is paid in cash when you arrive in country. Then there is a volunteer fee of $100, for both nationalities. This is paid to MEDLIFE in advance as we coordinate the volunteer permits. And both fees are additional to the $990 standard Service Learning Trip Fee. All prices in USD.

Upon confirmation as a participant, you will gain access to a personalized webpage on MEDLIFE's website from where you can choose to fund-raise; MEDLIFE McGill will also provide accepted participants with other fundraising opportunities for those interested.

There will be a mandatory information session for all trip participants on February

The application deadline is: Jan 25th 2018
