No zombies. No undead. No orcs. No ghosts.
There will be NO paperback or hardcover editions of this anthology. It will only be available as an ebook on amazon, kobo, and Barnes&Noble for free, which means there will be NO royalties for anyone. Nada.
But it will be something you can use as your ‘lead magnet’ to start collecting emails for your list. You will also get the opportunity to work with us and experience the high of getting your story into its best possible shape..
Developmental editing will be done by our editor-in-chief, Daiva Paskauskaite

Beta reading will be done by Rebecca Fuentes
Here is what we are looking for in individual story submissions:
* Word Count - up to 2K words.
* Original - All of it (the entire story you submit) has to be your own work.
* Virginal - The story/stories you submit to us must not have been published before.
* Single or multiple - You may submit 2-3 stories or poems for each anthology.
* Creative - Don’t be afraid to subvert tropes.
* Your Best Effort - While we do not expect your story/stories to be ready for publishing (that would defeat the whole purpose of this anthology), we do expect basics like proper grammar and punctuation, correct spelling and use of dialogue tags.
*An Actual Story - No personal essay. No stream of consciousness. No slice of life. No story fragment. Nothing ‘experimental’. A complete story with a beginning, a middle, and an end.
If in any doubt, and to increase the chance of your story being accepted, please read Self-Editing for Fiction Writers by Renni Browne and Dave King, and apply everything you learn from this little booklet.
Upon successful submission of each individual story, the author will be expected to work with a developmental editor, then two beta-readers (Madeleine and Erica). then a line editor (Cassia), and finally a proof-reader (M.K. Hall) using google doc.
If you’re NOT prepared to work with editors and betas to get your story into shape, then this anthology is NOT a good fit for you.
We are asking for first North American rights only for six months. All rights revert back to the author after six months, meaning you will be able to post or publish your story/stories anywhere before the end of the year.
Authors will retain full copyright of their stories and have creative freedom over their own work. This means that, if you do not like our input, you are under no obligation to make changes. It is your story and you get the final say. However, this anthology is meant to offer writers a glimpse into the editing and publishing process, so if you do not find our suggestions of value, then it’s best to part ways and allow someone else to make the most of this opportunity.
