Thank you for considering a position on the Board of HNCLT. Please tell us a bit about yourself and your reasons for wanting to join the Board, and we will then contact you to arrange an informal meeting.
As part of our Society Rules (D2.1), HNLCT is required to elect between 5 and 12 members who must be members of the CLT. Co-optees are included in that number, but don’t have to be members.
The board collectively has overall responsibility for the organisation, makes key decisions to steer the strategic direction, and is responsible for achieving the aims of the organisation. Full Board Responsibilities are available on request, along with the Statement of Commitment, which needs to be signed within one month of election to the Board (D4.2).
Board members are elected for a period of 3 years as per clause D7.2 & D7.3. They may stand for re-election after that period if they wish, for a maximum of 9 yrs. After 9yrs they are not eligible for re-election for a further 3yrs. (D7.4).
