The Maryland Coastal Bays Program (MCBP) and the Delaware Center for the Inland Bays (Center) are excited to offer the fifth annual “Journey Up the Coast: An In-Person Exploration of the Inland and Coastal Bays” for children ages 6-12! This unique education program will include a series of fun, interactive activities focused on topics such as watersheds, estuaries, and wildlife guided by the Center and MCBP environmental educators.
There are two date options for the program. Please note that this registration is for
Thursday, July 31 from 9:00 am to 11:30 am at the James Farm Ecological Preserve in Ocean View, DE. Sign in begins each day at 8:30am and the program will start promptly at 9:00am. To reserve your young learners spot, please complete the registration information below. If there are multiple participants in a group (e.g. family, club, etc.), a separate form will need to be submitted for each individual. An email containing additional information and participation waivers will be distributed closer to the program date. In the event of poor weather conditions, you will be emailed 24 hours in advance.
This program is completely FREE.
As “Journey Up Coast” is a program and not a camp, a parent or guardian will be required to remain on-site for the duration of the program. Parents may have a guardian present in their place, but will be required to indicate such information prior to the program. Further details about this will be shared closer to the program date.
Please send any additional questions to CIB's Environmental Education Manager, Jackie Knoll at jknoll@inlandbays.org.
