The Village Apprenticeship Program (VAP) is a community and people-centered workforce development program sponsored by Center for NuLeadership on Human Justice & Healing (www.nuleadership.org/vap). The program is designed to achieve economic mobility and security, with a focus on people impacted by generational poverty, incarceration and lack of access to employment opportunities.

VAP has 2 parts.
Part I :
A) 6 weeks of job/career/societal readiness training for apprentices
B) An orientation and community building retreat for VAP business partners/employers.

Part II :
A) Up to 12 weeks of on-the-job apprenticeship where we match you with an apprentice and we pay their salary.

If you decide to become a VAP business partner, you will be asked to:
1) Participate in a 3-part orientation and 1-day outdoor retreat (all costs will be covered).
2) Provide a job and mentorship for an apprentice for up to 12 weeks (VAP will pay the apprentice's salary)
3) Engage in a weekly communication with us on the partnership and apprenticeship.
