TERMS AND CONDITIONS• Professional artists are paired with 5th graders for a one-on-one art mentorship experience over 10 weeks in the spring.• BIG ARTISTS guide and mentor their Little Artists as they explore the creative process, learn new skills, and experience the business side of making art. • Participating AISD elementary schools: Allison, Blackshear, Jordan, Maplewood, Oak Springs, and Winn.• BIG ARTISTS will have the support of school Art teachers and site-based Super Big Artists.• BIG ARTISTS must pass a background check to participate.• BIG ARTISTS are provided a stipend to cover Little Artists expenses.• Time commitment: One weekly session from 3:00-6:00 p.m., either at school or at the BIG ARTIST’S studio, from February through April 2018. • Attendance at one Orientation/Meet-and-Greet and the end of program art show reception are strongly encouraged. • BIG ARTISTS consent to be photographed at minimum of one Little Artist BIG ARTIST mentor session.• BIG ARTISTS guide their Little Artists in creating two final works of art. One piece will stay with Chula League to be displayed at the end of program art show and later to be auctioned off during a Little Artist BIG ARTIST fundraiser at Cherrywood Art Fair. The other artwork will go home with Little Artists as a keepsake. • At the end of the program, BIG ARTISTS and Little Artists will participate in a very special event dedicated to showing off all of our artists’ hard work.
