VEGETATION AND AIR QUALITY IN CITIES
This survey aims to collect citizens’ knowledge about the influence of vegetation on air quality. The results collected will guide the Life VEG-GAP project (LIFE18 PRE IT 003) implementation and findings. VEG-GAP Project works on developing a strategy for providing new reliable information in support of designing urban Air Quality Plans (AQPs) considering the urban vegetation ecosystems characteristics such as plant type and state, green area extension, and so on (link: https://www.lifeveggap.eu/).

Data collection will comply with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.

Release gases which contribute to air pollution
Act as natural barriers for transport and dispersion of pollutants
Emit allergenic compounds
Provide thermal regulation
Reduce noise pollution
In case of other interaction, please indicate which one
Do you think that the interactions mentioned above (question 2) depend on vegetation type (trees, shrubs, grass)?
Clear selection
In case of positive answer, could you provide links, references for that?
4. Do you think that in case of trees, the interactions mentioned above (question 2) are depending on tree type (pinus, abies, fraxinus, quercus, etc)?
Clear selection
In case of positive answer, could you provide links, references for that?
5. Do you think that planting many trees is beneficial for air quality regardless the place where they are planted?
Clear selection
6.- Are currently vegetation effects on air pollution taken into account in urban planning documents (Air Quality, Urban Plan...) or in specific projects (parks, schoolyards, streets and buildings designs) in your city?
Clear selection
If yes, lease provide links, references for that.
7. - According to your professional competencies, have you ever considered to introduce this matter in your scope of work?
