Hi Prospective Member!
This form will be utilized by the SDSU Interfraternity Council to process any absences for registered prospective members for IFC-run events during the Spring 2026 Recruitment Process!
IFC-run events include:
- IFC Kickoff on Wednesday, January 28th, from 6pm - 8pm at Montezuma Hall. This is mandatory for all prospective members in order to receive a bid from an IFC fraternity during Spring 2026 IFC Formal Recruitment.
- IFC Spring 2026 "Meet the Chapters" Recruitment Events on Saturday, January 31st and Sunday, February 1st. This is a new event that IFC will be hosting, wherein prospective members are introduced to and will rotate through all IFC chapters over a 2-day weekend period. This is mandatory for all prospective members in order to receive a bid from an IFC fraternity during Spring 2026 IFC Formal Recruitment.
- IFC Bid Day on Campanile Walkway from 3pm - 5pm on Friday, February 13 (if you receive a bid from an IFC Chapter). This is the culmination of Spring 2026 IFC Formal Recruitment, wherein all IFC Chapters celebrate all new members that have accepted bids with a food truck, music, games, and more.
If you cannot attend one of these events or can only attend an event partially and have a valid excuse, please fill out the following form to apply for a waiver of the requirement. This could include class, religious requirements, out-of-town travel, and other reasons.
Please note that this form can be filled out multiple times, if multiple absences are needed.
Please fill out this form by 5pm the day prior to the event. If it is past this deadline, or if something occurs on the day of the event (i.e. sickness, family emergency, etc.) please communicate with your assigned Rush Coach.
