Fulbridge is seeking a motivated volunteer to coordinate the large team of Fulbridge Regional Representatives. Fulbridge's Regional Representatives are recent Fulbright grantees who can offer the most up-to-date perspectives on their grant experiences in order to serve as mentors and resources to those who are embarking on their grants. A few examples of Regional Representatives' activities include: offering informal coffee chats about preparing for one's grant and about re-entry after one's grant; answering grantees' questions on forums in the Fulbrighter Network; and communicating their experiences and advice via social media.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Regularly communicating with Regional Reps to involve Reps in events and opportunities
- Collaborating on social media and blog initiatives with Regional Reps
- Leading coffee chats and other Regional Reps events
- Actively creating new events opportunities and resources in consultation with Regional REps
- Collaborating with Fulbridge's partners, such as IIE, in sharing these opportunities with the Fulbright community
- Managing overall events calendar and scheduling; mitigating event/topic overlap as possible, ensuring reach and accessibility of events
- Liaising with fellow coordinators, other Fulbridge teams, and external groups
- Provide updates to the Fulbridge Executive Board
Ideal candidates will:
- Possess attention to detail and an affinity for spreadsheets and calendars
- Have strong communication skills - an ability to communicate clearly and accommodate various communication and work styles
- Have experience with event planning and with remote/online events is particularly helpful
- Enjoy working with a wide range of people
- A tendency to brainstorm and come up with creative solutions
- Be independent and self-motivated
- Maintain an interest in building new skills and learning about a range of topics
