NOTICE OF BUDGET PUBLIC HEARING
Per State General Statute, a unit’s governing board must hold at least one public hearing on the budget. At the public hearing anyone who wishes to be heard on the budget must be given an opportunity to speak. The process allows citizens and the board to more easily hone in on specific areas of concern and flesh out possible alternatives.
As a result of district public gatherings being suspended due to CO-VID 19 precautions, the Budget hearing scheduled for March 23, 2020 Board of Education work session is cancelled. As a result, we are providing an alternative medium for the public to respond to the Superintendent’s Recommended Budget shared with Board of Education March 9, 2020.
