PA DHS Feeding, Individual and Pet (Animal) Sheltering, and Resource Survey

Please note that any services offered through this survey could be used for any type of response related to COVID-19. For instance, a hotel could be used by first responders or to temporarily house homeless Quarantine patient, etc.
Please note if your site is selected, you will be reimbursed for disaster related expenses.
Feeding Definition: Provides feeding services at fixed sites and distribution sites and through mobile feeding units. Feeding services may include hot or shelf-stable meals, infant formula, baby food, snacks, beverages, and food packages, as well as diverse dietary and culturally appropriate meals (e.g., low sodium, low fat, vegetarian/vegan, halal, kosher). ESF #6 works in concert with ESF #11 and local, state, and tribal governments; NGOs; and the private sector to acquire, prepare, cook and/or distribute food and food supplies. Additional support may include the provision of technical assistance for the development of state feeding plans.
Sheltering Definition: Shelters are facilities that provide a safe place for individuals and families affected by a disaster to sleep or rest and may offer, among other things, food, snacks, beverages, cots, blankets, sanitation facilities, safety, first aid and information on recovery efforts.
Animal Sheltering: Please note that this survey is for planning and possible implementation services. Offering a resource through this survey does not mean it will be utilized. Please note that any services offered through this survey could be used for any type of response related to COVID-19. For instance, ability to temporarily house animals belonging to first responders or availability to provide veterinary support.
Resources: Please complete this section if your organization has additional resources beyond just offering mass feeding and sheltering. Please note some of the following we are looking for: Offers of kitchen space, cold storage, PPE, Supplies for food prep, nets and hats, food prep gloves, serving containers, etc.
We are looking to get a handle on resources available that may be used to fill local needs related to animals. Resources used may qualify for reimbursement and we will make every effort to secure reimbursement through the County Emergency Management Agency.
