Farm & Forest Camp Mentor in Training Application

Farm & Forest Summer Camp's 'Nature Mentor in Training (MiT) Program' helps equip students (ages 14-16) to be better leaders and gives them a chance to be immersed in an outdoor agricultural and natural environment with their peers, learn about local ecology, agricultural science and leadership in a hands-on and student-led environment.

Program location: Farm & Forest Summer Camp, Fire Ring Farm, Portland 
Dates: 

Week 1: MiT Training Camp: June 24th - June 28

Week 2: Optional volunteering week: July 1 - July 5 (get 30 volunteering or 60 SAE hours)

Program time: 9:00am - 3:00pm

What is your previous experience working with children? Please list all of your experiences incl. approximate number of hours spent, as well as the number and ages of the children you cared for/taught/etc. (Example, Sunday School helper for 6 months, babysitter for 3 kids, ages 3&4 on weekends, camp counselor/helper, older sibling etc.)
What do you like to do when you spend time outdoors?
After your 1 week training program is completed, do you think you might be interested in being a volunteer helper for any other weeks of camp? (This will get you an additional 30 hours of volunteer service.)
