Watertown 2026 Dragon Boat Festival Sign Up

Please fill out this form if you want to be part of the 2026 Chinese American Association of Watertown Night Herons dragon boat team! We will be fielding one boat this year, which consists of 20 paddlers (10 men and women), 2 alternates, and 1 drummer. If you have experience steering a dragon boat please sign up! If we don't have a steerer, one will be provided for us. 

The race is June 13 and 14. Please make sure you can attend these dates before signing up!

Registration fee is $65 for returning members and $75 for new members (includes a team T-shirt). Before the race day we will have 4 1-hour on water practices at the MIT boathouse in May/early June. Team members are encouraged to attend a minimum of 2 practices to learn how to paddle in synchrony with everyone. 

Whether you're an experienced paddler or a first-timer, we welcome all enthusiasts to be part of this unforgettable experience of teamwork and cultural celebration.

If rowing isn't your forte, there are still numerous ways to be part of this cultural celebration:

  • Volunteers/Organizers: We welcome individuals interested in contributing their time and skills to assist in organizing this landmark event. Contact us at caawatertown@gmail.com to express your interest.

  • Monetary Contributions: The Association invites donations from the community and local businesses to support the overall organization of the event. Every contribution, no matter the size, plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of this cultural celebration.

Payment for Participation
The fee is $75 for all new rowers. Returning rowers choosing to reuse their team shirts receives a $10 discount and their fee is $65.
