INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS
By entering the event you agree that The Cookham and Maidenhead Arts Trail may use your information solely for the purpose of promoting this event and that only your “Public Details” will be printed in publicity materials.

Each applicant must have Public Liability Insurance. In due course we will request a copy of your PLI covering the event date. Insurance of your own work is your own responsibility.

In addition, you agree to the following

1. Venues must be open and all participating artists must be present from 10am - 5pm on both days.

2.  A place on the Art Trail costs £50 for every individual artist.
  • Your £50 will pay for one photo listing in the brochure and cover all other advertising and organisational costs. The brochure may show only one entry for a venue depending on the total number of artists taking part.
  • This fee does not cover individual venue hire costs. 
3. Applications and required images must be submitted by Friday 6th March 2026.

4. On acceptance to CAMAT 2026, Art Trail payment must be made by Friday 3rd April 2026.
  • All payments should be made by bank transfer to Cookham & Maidenhead Arts Trail (this is a business account),

with your initial and surname as reference. Please Note: This is a different bank account so do not use one you may have saved before.

5. Once accepted, all participants will be invited to the 2026 WhatsApp group.

This information should be concise and will be published on our website, please write your statement in the third person. Please see HERE for an example.

Artist's Intro - Social Media *
As part of CAMATs social media promo, our "Introducing..." posts include a short piece of text.
  • Please provide 55-65 words (max) that introduce you as an artist, and focus on your art the public will be able to see over the weekend.
  • Please write your statement in the third person.
This can be the same as your Artist's Statement, if it meets the word count requirement.

e.g. Wendy’s work captures the world around her…family, friends, nature, scenery. She loves being able to put what she sees and feels onto paper or canvas, and watching a picture evolve.

Wendy loves bold colours, and the natural world always inspires her. With this in mind she’s ventured into looser, abstract and mixed media styles, which you can experience across the weekend.

Please don't forget, to complete your application you also need to submit 4 images of your artwork!
This applies to all artists (even if you are part of a group) and images must be submitted at the same time as your Application, which should be no later than Friday 6th March 2026.

One you have submitted your Application, please email your 4 images to cam.art.trail@gmail.com, ensuring you title the email <Your Name> CAMAT 2026 Artist Image Submission.

You may want to use WeTransfer a free file sharing site to send your images if they are too large to email directly, if so please address the file to cam.art.trail@gmail.com

Please ensure you follow all image requirements below.
  • Images must be good quality, high resolution .jpegs of at least 1Mb (preferably higher)
  • Images must be of recent work, no more than five years old
  • Images should preferably be in landscape format
  • All images of 2D work such as paintings, prints etc should be should be photographed square on, aligning edges so they are straight.
  • Do not include the mount or frame in the photograph and do not photograph work under glass as there will be a reflection.
  • Please do not send images that are designed by AI to look as if they are hanging on a wall.
  • Each image file should include your name in the file name e.g. Jill Chadwick - Glass Tulip
If your images are of poor quality your Application may be declined.

Please Note:
  • By submitting the images you, the Artist give permission for the material to be used in the brochure, and on the CAMAT website and social media channels. 
  • Once images have been submitted they cannot be substituted.
  • Images may be cropped or manipulated before publication.
  • Where all 4 of your images can't be accommodated, the specific images used on the website, social media channels and in the brochure are at the discretion of the CAMAT committee.
  • The brochure images are an important tool for the public to decide which venues to visit, so are combined to make a harmonious whole.
