Psychedelic Forest Carnival 2019 - Volunteer Application
Thanks for your interest in volunteering at the Psychedelic Forest Carnival 2019! Once this form has been filled out, your application will be processed by our Crew Coordinator. Please note that we, like many festivals, operate a volunteer deposit scheme, see below for details.

Your application will be processed as soon as possible after receipt, and our Crew Coordinator will aim to phone or email you within 5 days. Please note that your application is not complete until we've assigned you a team, and you've paid your deposit.

If you are unsuccessful in your application your deposit will be refunded. Please note that filling in the form does not automatically guarantee you a place on the volunteer team.

If you have any questions please contact your friendly neighbourhood Crew Coordinator, Sara@kelburnarts.com

Health & Safety Statement
I will follow H&S policies as directed to by any member of the Core Festival Team.
All persons must take reasonable care of their health and safety, and that of others.
All people on site must use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriate to the task.
All equipment should be checked before commencing work.
No one may interfere with anything provided in the interest of health & safety.
All waste and working materials must be disposed of safely using the correct methods.
All hazardous materials must be stored in appropriate conditions.
No one shall be permitted to work under the influence of alcohol or drugs. This rule is non-negotiable and anyone found in breach of it shall be relieved of their duties with an immediate cancellation of contract or other agreement.
I will not administer first aid unless qualified to do so, and I understand that trained first aiders will be on site at all times.
Any work at height will be carried out by contractors with appropriate safety measures in place and in full compliance with HSE Working at Height regulations.
Vehicle movement on site will be kept to a minimum, all site vehicles will be escorted by competent stewards in Hi Viz, minimum 1 front and 1 back. All festival personnel and contractors will be advised to drive no faster than 5 miles per hour.
Please tick to confirm that you have read and agree to abide by the above H&S statement
Volunteer Deposit scheme
As with many festivals, we take a deposit from volunteers - equivalent to the price of a ticket - which is reimbursed after the event, once we have confirmed that you completed your shift and that your conduct on-site was in line with our volunteer agreement. We ask for this because many events like ours face problems with volunteers not turning up for shifts, and it makes life really difficult for everyone involved. Life is stressful enough without dealing with that, frankly.

If this deposit would pose a barrier to you being able to volunteer, please contact sara@kelburnarts.com for a chat. We don't want folk who are unemployed or skint to be excluded from volunteering, so we may ask for references or some other sort of guarantee.
