Latitude 48 Competitive Program Registration March 1, 2021 - August 31, 2021
Our competitive program supports both “open” (any age) and senior masters (50 plus) athletes. Developing strong paddling skills, training at a demanding level, racing and contributing to a positive club culture are the core tenets of the program. While our crews have a strong track record of competitive achievement, we emphasize development in and out of the canoe. Personal accountability to teammates, taking on team and personal challenges in paddling and contributing to a positive culture through good sportsmanship and a sense of community are all points of emphasis.
Training Schedule: Please note that provincial health restrictions dictate whether we are able to train in team boats (OC6) or restricted to solo (OC1). Therefor training times will alternate between the following:
OC1 Only or limited OC6 training permitted
Open Crew: Tuesday @ 6pm and Sunday at 10:30am
Senior Masters (50+) Crew: Thursday @6pm and Sunday @8:30am
*Training plan includes a third independent workout for individual training which can be completed either individually or with the Monday Night Men’s training group or Saturday afternoon Women’s training group.
Complete return to OC6 (TBD)
Tuesdays and Thursdays @ 6pm
Sundays @ 9 am
All paddlers that have completed a successful OC1 recovery have access to club OC1s for additional personal training outside of practice times at no additional cost.
This season program size is limited and returning members will be given priority for registration.
