Toronto Youth Cabinet: Newcomer Working Group
Thank you for your interest in joining the Toronto Youth Cabinet's Newcomer Working Group!

The Newcomer Working Group aims to ensure that newcomer youth feel safe, situated, and represented in the city of Toronto. We aim to provide support through resources, opportunities and connection to make Toronto feel like home for all youth. 

We are currently looking for enthusiastic youth (13 - 24) who are interested in contributing to municipal development, specifically targeting the needs of newcomer youth. By specifically addressing pertinent issues affecting newcomers in Toronto, we hope to bring positive change that will make Toronto more welcoming!

General responsibilities of working group members:
  • Network with organizations and political figures through events and meetings
  • Research issues affecting newcomer youth for developing statements, reports, and deputations
  • Assist in the organization and host youth events and discussion forums
  • Collaborate on policy initiatives for newcomer youth
  • Enhance community outreach and engagement strategies
