The Homeless Garden Project is excited to welcome volunteers back to the farm!
A strong community has always been crucial to the mission of HGP, and it has been sorely missed over the last year and a half. We are so much stronger together, and our trainees are more likely to be successful with a resilient community behind them.
We are now offering open drop-in volunteer days Thursday - Friday from 10 am - 2 pm, and Saturday - Sunday from 10 am - 4 pm. Folks are no longer required to sign up in advance but are still welcome to sign up to receive reminders and additional information about their volunteer shift.
We will also continue to have limited volunteer shifts available on Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 10:30 am - 2:30 pm, which will require advance sign-up here.
Here's all the info:
* Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring gloves
* Please bring your own lunch/snacks and plenty of water
* If it's raining, the volunteer workday will be canceled
*Please do not come to the farm if you are feeling sick or are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms.
*Volunteers must wear a mask inside farm buildings, within 6 feet of others, and in the lunch line, regardless of vaccination status
Upon arrival, you can go to our farm stand where someone from our farm staff will meet you and show you what you will be working on for the day.
HGP's volunteers are so crucial to the success of our mission and programs. You have been sorely missed, and we are looking forward to seeing you again safely at the farm!
