Dear Georgetown Students,
CCL Georgetown is participating in the Higher Education Carbon Pricing Endorsement Initiative, a campaign calling on university presidents to publicly endorse a national carbon fee. Such a policy would effectively address climate change at the federal level. Please sign CCL Georgetown’s petition urging President DeGioia to endorse a federal carbon price. For more information, please read below.

Carbon pricing...
Is a market-based climate solution that reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
Can be a source of revenue for mitigating the devastating effects of climate change and supporting marginalized communities.
Has been enacted in over 40 countries.
As students of Georgetown University, we need to encourage President DeGioia to endorse carbon pricing. CCL Georgetown is already circulating a faculty petition. Now it’s time for students to join the initiative. As a world-renowned school, Georgetown’s endorsement for this powerful climate solution will make a meaningful impact.
Please see the below resources for more information about our initiative.
Sincerely,
CCL Board: Laura Rockefeller, Sina Nemazi, Jack Little, Clio Gates
Leadership: Leyla Hagan, Isabel Hwang, Maggie Szabo
