Student Reflection Tool: Math Habits of Interaction (Dec. 2018)
When we do math with other mathematicians, we critique and debate the logic and truth of ideas by exploring multiple pathways of reasoning and comparing our logic and ideas to see how they are mathematically the same and different. We respect each other's right to purposeful private reasoning before we explain our reasoning. We listen to understand each other's reasoning and we use genuine questions to understand (not influence) each other's thinking.
