2025 Weeding at Wuda Ogwa Volunteer Sign-up
All upcoming event dates/times are as follows:
Friday, July 11, 2025 8am-12pm
Friday, August 1, 2025 8am-12pm

We will work rain, heat or shine. Notice the times change to beat the heat. Please plan to dress for the temperature and bugs with a hat and sunscreen, as shade will be limited. Please be prepared to the best of your abilities. Bring solid shoes that can get wet, work gloves, tools/supplies. We will have back-ups available. Come ready to weed. Thank you!

Schedule for volunteer days:
First 30 mins will be WELCOME CEREMONY, SAFETY TALK, and INSTRUCTIONS then disperse to weeding areas. *Please arrive at least 10 mins early so we can get started on time. Parking is limited, we encourage carpooling when possible. 
Next 1.5-2 hours weeding and working.
Food break and mingling, (approx. middle of event timeframe) w/mingling, water refills, sunscreen reapply, etc.
Back to weeding for last hour. Those that can stay until the end of event, we'll have staff and supplies available until then.

I wish to volunteer to plant or weed at the Shoshone Massacre site with the Northwest Band of the Shoshone Nation (NWBSN) and partner organizations like BIO-WEST, TreeUtah and "The Planting Partners". I understand the nature of volunteer activities that I may perform in my capacity as a volunteer may involve physical effort (bending, lifting, digging, walking, kneeling, etc.), contact with unidentified and/or unfamiliar persons, walking on uneven ground, and other potential risk of bodily injury or damage to property. I agree to abide by the safety training measures for any and all activities in which I participate. I will take responsibility for my safety and the safety of those around me,  and will find appropriate levels of exertion for my abilities. I hereby assume full and complete responsibility for any personal injury and/or property damage that I sustain or cause during my participation as a volunteer. In addition, I hereby release, hold harmless and covenant not to file suit against the Northwest Band of the Shoshone Nation, TreeUtah and The Planting Partners, or any other business or entity participating, and any of their employees, volunteers, partners, agents, sponsors, board members, and successors from any and all loss, liability, or claims I may have arising out of my service as a volunteer, including all liability that results from negligence of any other person or cause, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
