1. Membership of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA)
2. Registration with the FAA (faadronezone-access.faa.gov/#/)
3. Completion of the Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST) – refer to the AMA website (www.modelaircraft.org) for guidance.
FEES:
New members must pay a one-time Field Assessment fee of $100.00 [note ADULTS only]
and
ADULTS - payment of annual dues $75.00 per fiscal year [1 February through 31 January]
Example: New Adult member one-time Field Assessment fee of $100.00 + annual dues $75.00 = $175.00 (Zelle or check) and for PayPal $175 + 3%($5.25) =$180.25.
or
JUNIORS - [under 18 years of age] - $10.00 per fiscal year [1 February through 31 January]
(Juniors do not pay the Field Assessment fee until they reach 18 years of age.)
Example: New Junior member one-time Field Assessment fee of $10.00 + annual dues $75.00 = $85.00 (Zelle or check) and for PayPal $85 + 3%($2.55) =$87.55.
